Global Guild Network // Applied AI Research

A professional organization for researchers, engineers, artists, and others shaping the future of intelligent systems.

The International Prompt Engineers Guild is a professional organization for AI researchers, prompt engineers, evaluation specialists, agent designers, machine intelligence explorers, applied language-interface practitioners, and anyone interested in the interdisciplinary study and practice of intelligent systems. The Guild brings together engineers, scholars, scientists, artists, social scientists, philosophers, cyberneticists, semioticians, linguists, psychologists, designers, and other serious practitioners working across research, experimentation, evaluation, workflow design, and human–AI collaboration.

Mission and Position

We treat prompting and language-interface design not as hype vocabulary, but as a serious interdisciplinary field at the intersection of language, cognition, computation, design, systems engineering, and scientific inquiry. The Guild exists to raise the level of discourse and practice across both research and culture.

Advance the field

Support the maturation of prompt engineering and language-interface practice as a serious field of inquiry with standards, terminology, and methods that can survive scrutiny.

Connect research to application

Bridge frontier-model experimentation with practical deployment in education, science, software, policy, operations, design, and knowledge work.

Build professional community

Create an environment where serious practitioners can compare approaches, critique results, and share techniques without drowning in buzzword confetti.

Research and Practice Disciplines

The Guild is oriented toward concrete domains of work that matter in real systems, not just clever one-off prompts.

Language Interface Design Designing prompts, instructions, interaction frames, and conversational scaffolds that improve clarity, control, and task completion.
Model Evaluation Testing outputs systematically, comparing variants, documenting regressions, and building sharper intuitions about model behavior.
Retrieval and Context Engineering Structuring context windows, document pipelines, tool inputs, and information flow so models can reason over the right material.
Agent Workflows Coordinating tools, memory, planning, and execution so systems can do real work while remaining legible and governable.
Safety and Reliability Reducing ambiguity, improving adherence, limiting failure modes, and aligning model behavior with institutional or scientific requirements.
Human–AI Collaboration Studying the practical division of labor between expert judgment and machine assistance in research, design, and decision processes.
